Our next stop in Thailand was to the Northwest city of Chiang Mai.  We landed around lunch time and stumbled upon Uncle Tigger’s Singapore Fired Chicken, which happened to be next door to our Airbnb.  Robby said it was pretty tasty but I enjoyed my mango coconut smoothie instead. 

After we checked into our apartment we decided to make our way into the Old City to explore the many temples and ruins scattered throughout.  Our ’15-20 min’ walk turned into 45 mins in 100 degree heat.. but once we arrived at Wat Chedi it was worth it.  Wat Chedi is one of the most well known relics in all of Chiang Mai dating back to 1441.  It’s the tallest structure in the Old City, still today, even after an earthquake shook half the building off in the 16th century.  We wandered the grounds for awhile and then made our way to one of the many Thai massage parlors to end the day.
